ABUNDANT LIFE THROUGH HOLY SPIRIT LIVING
“WHY NOT BE UNCOMMON? # 3

Acts 10:15
“And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.”

John 10:10
“I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

God has designed that the saved person can be uncommon. Far too many Christians are common instead of uncommon. What about some uncommon men we have known of? All of the great men of the Bible were radically different from the common men of their day. If they had not been uncommon and stemmed the tide or stepped forth and forged ahead, but had been like millions of others, we would not have heard of them.

Enoch was very uncommon. The Bible says he walked with God. He was different in his walk, conduct, and faith, and in his earthly termination. He obeyed, believed, and pleased God in all that he did. Noah was different, clean and uncommon. He was perfect in his generation. He dared to be different. And because of this, he found favor with God. Joseph was uncommon, and by being different he became a great blessing. Moses was different, unique, and uncommon. He made choices, which for the time being seemed foolish. But time has proven that he glorified God and obtained more honor than any mummified Pharaoh. Oh we could go on with David, Elijah, Jeremiah, Daniel, and John the Baptist. All were different and uncommon. As we consider all of the great men of history, we will learn they were vastly different from the multitudes around them.

Think about Thomas Edison, Benjamin Franklin, Eli Whitney, John D. Rochafeller, Henry Ford, George Washington, and Abraham Lincoln.
Think about Daniel Boone, Davy Crocket, and the great movement to the west in 1849, as well as the great cattle drives from Texas to Kansas.

Think where we would be if there had not been those who dared to be uncommon.
