The Fruit of the Spirit - Love #2

Galatians 5:22a
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, ...”

Love defined. Love is a broad word. To some, it is that sticky and selfish affection of adolescence. To others, it is an itch down inside that you just can’t scratch. To some, it is a warm and fuzzy feeling down inside that you can’t quite explain. Still to others, it is that silly and flabby kind of love that knows no discipline or withholding.

Love defined is the first step and love applied is the next. We need to be very careful not to glibly say we love. We need to analyze carefully all of our life and see if indeed we do love. Generally, we have no problem in loving our friends and brothers or sisters in Christ. However, there are two aspects to consider even in this area. Love in the home and love in the world. In the next couple of Nuggets of Gold/Inspirational Thoughts we will explain both of these and trust they will be a blessing to you in your Christian walk.
