GOD'S PLAN, ACCEPT IT. # 6

God follows a plan in doing His work both in heaven and on earth. He has a blueprint for each life.

II Timothy 1:9
"Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began."

Notice what God teaches. Not to every man some plan, but to every man God's plan.

Praise the Lord, God offers another chance even if we have goofed it all up in the past. It is good to know that God offers other chances to those who reject His will.

Remember Israel? God sent Jeremiah down to the potter's house. The potter took a piece of clay and made a vessel, but the vessel was cracked. Now the potter did not throw the vessel away. But took the clay and on another wheel shaped it into a beautiful vessel.

God gave Jonah another chance.
He gave Samson other chances.
Praise God, He gave old Peter another chance.

It is glorious that God offers men second chances.

Matthew 11:28
"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

Revelation 22:17
"And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely."

Ezekiel 33:11
"I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; ... turn ye, turn ye ... for why will ye die?"

Now how does one find God's will for his life? By doing the first thing that you know God wants you to do. Then He will reveal the next thing to you. It is strange, but some people want to know all of God's will before deciding whether to accept it or not. God did not reveal everything to Saul of Tarsus on the Damascus road. Paul asked "What wilt thou have me to do?" God did not tell him everything; he
only described the first step. If Paul had not done the first thing Christ told him to do, he never would have found God's will.
The first step for the lost man is found in the words of Jesus. "Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." Then step by step God leads along the pathway of faith. Baptism. Church membership. Tithing. Witnessing. Teaching. Separation and consecration.
