GOD'S PLAN, ACCEPT IT. # 2God follows a plan in doing His work both in heaven and on earth. He has a blueprint for each life. II Timothy 1:9 - "Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began." Notice what God teaches. Not to every man some plan. But to every man God's plan. Many times women wonder what part they have in God's great program. Listen, each woman God has a plan for. They have the responsibility of the children. They handle the affairs at home. God had a plan for the mother of Moses. God had a plan for the sister of Moses in using her to get the baby Moses to his mother. I ask, who had the greater part in God's will, the mother or the sister or even the daughter of Pharaoh? Then again, many men wonder what part they can play in God's great program for his church and his missionary cause. God has a plan for you and can use you. Think of Moses on the mountain side. As long as he held his arms upward toward heaven, the victory was Israel's. But when his arms got heavy, and when he let them drop, the enemy prevailed. Remember Aaron and Hur committed their hands to hold up the hands of God's man? For the cause of Christ, no matter where you may be you can stay by your church, your pastor, by the leaders, and by the work of God and do that He has given you to do. Listen, too many people have bailed out just because the going got tough. They left a few to hold the bag. And they are usually the first ones to blame the failure on those who remained and carried the load. Hear me now, God's plan for you is as essential as it is for the preacher or the singer or anyone else. God has a plan for you. He will use you if you will let Him. Two hundred faint men in David's army were unable to cross the brook to pursue the enemy. Four hundred said, "We are well able"; they crossed the brook and won the battle. When they returned, they said that they would keep the spoil. But David said, “Not so. You brave four hundred were well able to go. You went, but these two hundred did as much; they stayed by the stuff. We shall all share alike.” Hear me, God doesn't have any big shots and little shots in His service. No big places and little places. It is as important to fill the pew as it is to stand in the pulpit if that is what God wants you to do. If that is His plan for your life. Just find God's plan and accept it. Russell Stolp Psalm 37:4 "Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart." |
