GOD'S PLAN, ACCEPT IT. # 1
John 4:34
“Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his
work.”
God follows a plan in doing His work both in heaven and on earth. He has a blueprint for each life.
II
Timothy 1:9
"Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but
according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began."
Notice what God teaches. Not to every man some plan. But to every man God's plan. Jesus said
of Himself - John 9:4 - "I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night
cometh, when no man can work." Again He said - John 18:37 - "To this end was I born, and for
this cause came I into the world."
I want you to see one that missed the mark. Hear what He said to Pharaoh. Romans 9:17 - "I raised thee
up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the
earth." Now listen, I do not think for one moment that God created Pharaoh for destruction. I do not
believe that God predestined some for heaven and some for hell. Therefore, I must conclude that Pharaoh
missed the mark. Who knows but that if Pharaoh had followed God's plan for his life, he might
have been a mighty force for righteousness like Elijah or Moses or David? Now I realize that God used
the hardness of Pharaoh's heart for good, but this is not so strange when we realize that God works in
strange and mysterious ways His wonders to perform. Remember Joseph said to his brother in Genesis
50:20 - "Ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good." God had a plan for Joseph. He
had a plan for Pharaoh. He has a plan for you and me.
One occasion the devil presented himself before God and God said, "Have you considered my servant
Job?" God said, try him out, consider him and sift him in your sieve and see what you find in a man
that has accepted completely God's plan for his life. God used Job as an example to prove that one who
follows God's plan completely has the power to remain true to Him if he wants to.
When God spoke to Abraham in Ur of the Chaldees, he did not tell Abraham what he had in store for
him. God just simply said - "Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred."(Genesis 12:1). And
Abraham started following God's will for his life. Step by step, God revealed his plan to Abraham. He
did not lay the entire plan down like a map before him. He did not let Abraham know at the beginning
what the outcome might be. “Just follow me”, said God, and Abraham followed.
